84-BBBA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AFFIRMING ITS PRIOR FINDING AND DECLAP, ATION THAT A CERTAIN AREA WITHIN THE CITY IS BLIGHTED: ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE BLIGHT DETERMINATION FINDINGS AS SET FORTH IN A STUDY COMPLETED BY THE CITY'S PLanNING DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach by the adoption of Resolution No. 81-SS has found and declared that one or more slum and blighted areas exist within the City of Boynton Beach, and that the rehabilitation, conservation, or redevelooment, or a combination thereof, of the area is necessary in the interest of the public health, safety, morals, or welfare of the residents of the City of Boynton Beach; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach by the adoption of Resolution No. 82-KK, as amended by Resolution No. 84-II, has declared an area of the City to be the Redevelop- ment Area; and T~EREAS, the Boynton Beach Planning Department has completed a blight study of the Redevelopment Area, and said study made certain findings relating to the blighted condition of the area which reinforce and supplement the prior findings of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Secci'on 1~ The City of Boynton Beach affirms its prior findings and declarations in Resolution No~ 81-SS that the area designated as the Redevelopment Area is a blighted area as defined in Section 163.340, Florida Statutes. ~Secti'on 2. The blight determination study done by the Boynton Beach Planning Department is hereby adopted and, by reference, incorporated herein~ Section 3.
