R24-311 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES AND 5 EQUIPMENT BY UTILIZING THE RATES OF THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S 6 ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FSA24-VEL32.0, THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S 7 ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FSA23-EQU21.0, THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S 8 ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FSA23-VEH21.1, THE SOURCEWELL 9 CONTRACT 091521-NAF, THE SOURCEWELL CONTRACT 032824-NAF, 10 THE CITY OF TALLAHASSEE CONTRACT 5179-MY25, AND THE STATE 11 CONTRACT- 25100000-23-STC,IN THE AMOUNT OF$4,736,000, PLUS 12 A CONTINGENCY OF TWENTY-TWO PERCENT $1,041,921 FOR 13 INCREASES, SHOULD THE VEHICLES AND/OR EQUIPMENT NO 14 LONGER BE AVAILABLE AND NEW MODELS BE DELIVERED; AND FOR 15 ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 16 17 WHEREAS, the Fleet Management & Mobility Division, in coordination with the 18 Procurement Division, recommends approval to utilize the rates of the following contracts for the 19 purchase of the vehicles and equipment approved and scheduled in the FY2024/2025 replacement 20 budget, as follows: 21 • Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA24-VEL32.0: Pursuit, Administrative & Other 22 Vehicles. 23 • Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA23-EQU21.0: Equipment. 24 • Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA23-VEH21.1: Heavy Trucks and Bus. 25 • Sourcewell Contract 091521-NAF: Class 1-3 Light Trucks, Cars, Vans, SUVs, Cab Chassis, & 26 Electric Vehicles. 27 • Sourcewell Contract 032824-NAF: Class 4-8 Chassis, Electric vehicles & Upfitting. 28 • City of Tallahassee Contract 5179-MY25: Municipal Vehicles Cars, Vans, SUVs & Light 29 Trucks. 30 • Florida State Contract 25100000-23-STC: Law Enforcement, Municipal Vehicles Cars, Vans, 31 SUVs & Light Trucks. 32 WHEREAS,these entities have awarded the listed contracts to various vendors throughout 33 Florida. These contracts are based on a high amount of volume and offer lower prices than can 34 be obtained through regular channels; and 35 WHEREAS, market conditions for vehicles and equipment remain volatile, making it 36 increasingly difficult to acquire vehicles without immediate purchase approval. All orders will be 37 placed using the best-value contracts and quotes; and 38 WHEREAS, Procurement will review each quote to ensure they adhere to the pricing terms 39 outlined in the piggyback agreements mentioned above; and 40 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 41 best interests of the city's citizens and residents to approve the purchase of vehicles and 42 equipment by utilizing the rates of the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA24-VEL32.0, the 43 Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA23-EQU21.0, the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract 44 FSA23-VEH21.1, the Sourcewell Contract 091521-NAF, the Sourcewell Contract 032824-NAF, the 45 City of Tallahassee Contract 5179-MY25, and the State Contract - 25100000-23-STC, in the 46 amount of$4,736,000, plus a contingency of twenty-two percent $1,041,921 for increases, should 47 the vehicles and/or equipment no longer be available and new models be delivered. 48 49 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 50 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 51 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 52 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 53 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 54 approve the purchase of vehicles and equipment by utilizing the rates of the Florida Sheriff's 55 Association Contract FSA24-VEL32.0, the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA23-EQU21.0, 56 the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA23-VEH21.1, the Sourcewell Contract 091521-NAF, 57 the Sourcewell Contract 032824-NAF, the City of Tallahassee Contract 5179-MY25, and the State 58 Contract - 25100000-23-STC, in the amount of $4,736,000, plus a contingency of twenty-two 59 percent $1,041,921 for increases, should the vehicles and/or equipment no longer be available 60 and new models be delivered. 61 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 62 authorizes the Mayor to execute any ancillary documents necessary to accomplish the purposes 63 of this Resolution. 64 SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect in accordance with law.
