A. Tennis Center
1. FRDAP Grant Approval - Commission approved the application for grant funding for
Hydro Courts at the Tennis Facility.
Marvelous Washington, Division Director, stated that the City Commission approved applying
for a $200,000 matching grant, and their proposal for the Tennis Center includes installing
Hydro Courts to ensure the courts stay dry because it rains every day and, as a result, the
Tennis Center was having issues with the tennis clinics and leagues. She said that to better

serve the Tennis Center patrons and residents, they want to apply for the grant to help defray
the installation costs of the Hydro Courts
Chair Mondello asked about lights at the Tennis Center.
Ms. Washington said that there is an upcoming project to install lights. She mentioned that the
City will update the current lights to LED lights, install additional poles and lights, and that FM
Tennis recommended adding additional Pickleball Courts to meet demand. She stated that
they are very excited about the upcoming renovations and upcoming CIP projects for the tennis
facilities. She noted that one of the requirements for grant approval is to provide an update of
the CIP projects that have been approved, and to provide a visual of where those amenities
will be implemented

FM Tennis contract approved
Chair Mondello said that this was discussed at the last meeting, and that this organization has
been there for a little over five years.
Ms. Washington said that FM Tennis is the vendor for the tennis clinics and other tennis related
activities, and they have been operating at the Tennis Center for a little over five years. She
commented that they will be the managing partner at the Center, and that the City and vendor
will work together to continue those types of services and bring in a new Tennis Pro Shop.
