A i RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, CREATING A MUNICIPAL TENNIS COURT
OPERATION PLAN AND PROVIDING FOR RATES,
RULES AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, recognizes the increasing demands for the use of the
municipal tennis courts of said city; and
WHEREAS, to meet such needs, the City Council deems it
essential to provide for the employment of a resident tennis
professional, full time tennis court regulation, pro shop, control
building~ and a full schedule of programming including lessons,
leagues, and tournaments; and
WHEREAS, the implementation of a tennis court operation
plan, requires the establishment of rates, rules and regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ~AT THE SCHEDULE OF RATES,
FEES, RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE MUNICIPAL TENNIS
COURT OPERATION PLAN SPIALL BE AS FOLLOWS:
Seqtion 1: The annual membership fees for the use of
the municipal tennis courts shall be as follows:
(a) Residents:
Adult, single
Adult, husband and wife
Family
Junior (17 and under)

Section 2: The fees for visitors and nonmembers for
the use of the municipal tennis courts shall be as follows:
(a)

Section 3: Notwithstanding the foregoing, there shall
be an additional fee for the ni~ht~fime use of the municipal
tennis courts at the rate of One Dollar ($1.00) Der tennis
court Der hour regardless of membership status.
Section 4: The membership registration system shall
be as follows:

Memberships shall be valid for one year running
from October 1st of the current year to September
30th of the following year.
Memberships must be renewed each year with
October 31st as the deadline for payment.
(c)
Memberships shall be pro-rated on a six-month
basis. Memberships issued between April 1st
and September 30th shall be one-half of the
annual membership fee.
(d)
Residency shall be evidenced by voter's
registration, car registration, utility bills,
and such.
(e)
Membership cards shall be issued each year to
verify memberships for tennis court attendants.
(f)
Application and payment of membership fees shall
be made at the tennis center only.
Section 5: The fee collection system shall be as
follows:
(a)
Ail financial transactions shall be made at the
tennis center.
(b)
The tennis professional shall be responsible for
proper control of monies and submission to the
Recreation Administrative Office.
Section 6: The hours of operation of the municipal
tennis courts shall be from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. each day,
seven days each week, including Sundays and other holidays.
Section .7: This Resolution shall be implemented and
become effective as of the 1st day of October, A~D., .1975.
