74-OORESOLUTION NO ' '74- 0Q A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA, URGING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY TO ACQUIRE THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND LYING IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF THE BOYNTON INLET AS ADDITIONAL RECREATIONAL LAND FOR PUBLIC USE. 'WHEREAS, the voters of Palm Beach County, Florida, in recognizing the grave need for additional recreational land and beach areas, voted on November 5, 1974, in favor of the $50,000~000,00 beach and park bonds; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, has in the past recognized the need for acquiring for such public use that certain parcel of land lying immediately south of the Boynton Inlet, as is more fully described on"Exhibit' ' A"~ attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, there is a dire need for additional land for recreational and phblic access in the immediate vicinity of said parcel, and the public interest, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, would be best served by the acquisition of such additional land for said public use, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SS'ct:ion 1: That the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, be and is hereby urged to acquire that certain parcel of land lying immediately south of the Boynton Inlet, as is more fully described on "Exhibit A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, and that the Board be and is hereby encouraged to pursue its efforts to acquire said land for public use. 'Section 2: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, Robert F.
