A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING RULE VIII SECTION 1,
PAGE 12, CIVIL SERVICE BOOK, WAIVING CIVIL
SERVICE EXAMINATIONS IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach
Florida, has deemed it necessary and advisable to waive civil ser-
!vice examinations in certain circumstances;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida:
~mat the following is hereby added to Rule VIII:
The City Council shall be empowered to waive an exa-
mination for any position in the classified service whenever there
is only one eligible candidate; or when due to the lack of an
eligible and/or eligibles it is necessary to recruit from the
public to fill a position due to a creation, a promotion or a
vacancy, provided, all other specified qualifications and/or re-
quirement for appointment are complied with.
