R66-BBRESOLUTION NO. 66-BB
WHEREAS, the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA has, for
many years, maintained a certain parcel of land within its City limits as an
improved park area, said property being located at the N.E. Corner of the
Intersection of East Ocean Avenue and N.E. 4th Street; and,
WHEREAS, record title to subject parcel is presently vested in
Palm Beach County, Florida pursuant to final decree rendered in Chancery
Case No. 18-875 on May 7, 1945; and,
WHEREAS, it is the present intention of the City Council of the
OF BOYNTON BEACHj FLORIDA together with various Civic Organizations
within said municipality to place certain prominent improvements upon sub-
ject park area and to dedicate same to local war veterans; and,
WHEREAS, in connection with said permanent improvements and
dedication it is deemed essential that title to subject parcel be vested in the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH FLORIDA:
That the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County,
Florida be and they are hereby respectfully requested to grant and convey un-
to the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACHj FLORIDA the following described parcel
of land for utilization by said municipality for municipal purposes, to wit'
Lot 8 and Lot 9, Block 6, ORIGINAL TOWN OF BOYNTON,
a subdivision of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida according
to the plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the
Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, recorded
in Plat Book 1, Page 23, public records of Palm Beach County,
Florida.
