02-15-60A h~REAS, th~..~ City of Boynton Beach, Florida, presently has a population of appro.-,~,ately iO,~)u~ ~ ~r~on~; amd ,HE~E~.,~, said City has for ~y years had a brach office of the F~lway [~s Agency, Inco~ora~ed, located wit~ its m~cip~ li~ts; ;fHEPJ~AS, apparently due 'to a lack cf sufficient population or freight express traffic through said branch office, the said Rait~-ay Express AEency has not furnished t~c~: delivery serwice in said City; and ?~.[EPJ~A$, the absence of such service has caused much inconvenience and delay to bu~neoo enterprises and residents of said City; and ~H~,EE/~, nm..~,erous citizens ~mve re. uested the City Council of said Municipality to assist them in obtaining m~ch service,, based upon the increased population and ezprcss tra.£fic through said brauch office, NOW, ~ ~ ...... ~ORE, The City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby respectfully petitions the Florida ~ailroad and ~blic Utilities C~mzission and/or the Railway Express Agency, Incorporated, to initiate an appropriate investigation into the .feasibility and necessity of furnishing subject service to the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, at the earliest possible date.
