3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
4 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A CONTRACT
5 WITH RESOURCE ACTION PROGRAMS IN THE AMOUNT OF
6 $44,000.00 FOR THE DELIVERY OF THEIR WATERWISE
7 CONSERVATION PROGRAM TO ALL 5 T11 GRADE STUDENTS
8 AT SCHOOLS WITHIN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH;
9 AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
10 THE CONTRACT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

13 WHEREAS, the WaterWise program educates all 5th grade students in the City's
14 service area on the importance of water conservation and emphasizes the positive impact of
15 small changes in water use habits; and
16 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission has determined
11 that it is in the best interests of the residents of the City to enter into a Contract with Resource
18 Action Programs in the amount of $44,000.00 for the delivery of their WaterWise
1 Conservation Program for all 5 grade students at schools within the City of Boynton Beach
d during fiscal year 2011 -2012.
i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
i Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being
2/S true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof.

2d Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves a Contract with Resource

2I, Action Programs in the amount of $44,000.00 for the delivery of their WaterWise
218 Conservation Program to all 5 grade students at schools within the City of Boynton Beach.
29 Section 3. Authorizing the Interim City Manager to execute a contract with
