4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF j
5 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
6 APPROVING UTILIZING THE STATE OF FLORIDA
7 CONTRACT DMS- 1011 -008C (WITH
8 MODIFICATION OF VENUE FOR DISPUTES BEING
9 PALM BEACH COUNTY) WITH VERIZON
10 WIRELESS FOR THE PURCHASE OF AIR CARDS
11 FOR WIRELESS DATA SERVICES (LAPTOPS) FOR
12 THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE
13 APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $77,500.00; AND
14 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

16 WHEREAS, City staff has confirmed that the State of Florida has complied with
17 Public Contract Bid requirements which meet or exceed the City of Boynton Beach's
18 procurement requirements; and
19 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, it is the City's desire to utilize State
20 of Florida Contract #DMS - 1011 -008C (with modification of venue for any disputes being
21 Palm Beach County) with Verizon Wireless for the purchase of air cards for wireless data
22 services (laptops) for police department in the approximate amount of $77,500.00.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
24 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
25 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
26 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
27 adoption.
28 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
29 approves utilizing the State of Florida Contract #DMS - 1011 -008C (with modification of
30 venue for any disputes being Palm Beach County) with Verizon Wireless for the purchase

3 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
