AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING PART 'II, CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE I,
SECTIONS 2-t5(e) (4) OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO REVISE THE ALLOWED
REIMBURSEMENT FOR MEALS WHILE ON
OFFICIAL CITY BUSINESS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION
AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
~HER~AS, the City of Boynton Beach has determined that
it is necessary to revise meal reimbursement for employees
on official city business; and
WHEREAS, th~ City Commission desires to uniformly
reimburse all employees of the City of Boynton Beach for
meals while on official business; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach deems it to be in the best interests of the City to
revise the meal allowance amounts and implement a
reimbursement schedule that applies equally to all
employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. That Part II, Chapter 2, Article I,
Section 2-15(e) (4) is hereby amended by adding the words and
figures in underlined type and by deleting the words and
figures in struck-through type, as follows:

Meals only. Ail travelers may be allowed an
amount for meals, while on official business up to
the following amounts:
a. Breakfast, ~

b. Lunch, ten six dollars ($i0.00 6.00).
c. Dinner, twcnty twelve dollars ($20.00 12.00}.
d. Total for twenty-four hour period, ~ .... ~

e. Additional amounts where special circumstances
are appropriate as approved by the city
manager.
Section 2. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence or word
be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
