THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING PART II, CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE VIII,
SECTION 2-127 OF THE cODE OF ORDINANCES
TO CREATE SUBSECTION~ (9) THROUGH (13),
PROVIDING ADDITION DUTIES, POWERS,
AUTHORITY, AND :UNCTIONS OF THE
EDUCATION ADVISO BOARD; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, BILITY, CODIFICATION AND

WHEREAS, the City
BOynton Beach has determined that it is

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. That Part II, Chapter 2, Article VIII, Section 2-127 is
hereby amended by adding subsections (9) through (13), by adding the
words and figures in underlined type and by deleting the words and figures

Sec. 2-127. Duties.
The education advisory board shall act as a fact-finding and
advisory board on the following issues and on such other issues as
are, from time to time, designated by the city commission by
resolution:
To assist the city and local schools in:
(1) Recruiting volunteers to assist students...

Formulation of a comprehensive city child care policy.
Formulation of long and short range, programming tb

(11) Development of incentives and enhancements which
would encourage the development of new child care
facilities.
(12) Identification of county, state and federal programs to

(13) Development of a child and youth advocacy program.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this ordinance or
portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
remainder of this ordinance.
