A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND PALM BEACH
COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD, PROVIDING FOR SUMMER
DAY CAM. P BUSING; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bo!rnton
Beach, Florida, upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to
be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida to execute a Contract between
the City o~ Boynton Beach and Palm Beach County School Board
to provide busing for the Summer Day Camp Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OFBOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute an Agreement between the City of Boynton
Beach and Palm Beach County School Board, providin~ for busing
for the Summer Day Camp Program, which Contract is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. That this Resolution shall
effective immediately upon passage.

This paragraph is authorized by Chapter 234.211 and is
subject to Chapter 768.28 of Florida Statutes.
Damaqes to School Buses in Use Pursuan~ to This Aqreemenl
The City, (government entity) agrees ~o be responsible
for accidental damage ~o the "BOARD'S,, school bus
directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from, arising
out ~f or occurring in connection wi~h the use of the
buses.

The requesting government entity shall be solely
responsible for planning for the safety and well being of
those being transported.
Procedure for Requesting Use of School Buse:,
Ail requests for the use of school buses by governmen5
entities will be initiated in writing and directed to the
principal (or his/her designee) for community education
at a local community school. After the aforementioned
conditions have been met, the assistant pricipal for
community education will forward the request to the
Transportation Department. The money to finance the
trips must flow from the government entity to requesting
school to the Transportation Department.
This agreement shall become effective upon official
approval of both parties.
