A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A CERTAIN AMENDMENT ~1 TO
STANLEY CONSULTANTS CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FOR THE WEST
WATER TREATMENT PLANT; A COPY OF SAID
AMENDMENT IS ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT
"A"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach~ Florida, approved a Consultant Agreement for
Construction Management Services between the City of Boynton
Beach and Stanley Consultants, by Resolution R91-19, passed
and adopted February 5, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the wells, raw water mains, plant and
connecting distribution main are integral, staff has
requested Stanley Consultants to provide the attached
amendment in order to enhance the construction inspection
and certification of the project for Commission review; and
WHEREAS, upon review by the City Commission of the City
of Boynton Beach, Florida and upon recommendation of staff,
the City Commission feels it is appropriate and in the best
interests of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida that this
amendment be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T~ CITY COMMISSION
OF THE C~TY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT.
Section 1. The City of Boynton Beach, Florida
hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute said Amendment ~1, Agreement for Construction
Management Services West Water Treatment Plant, as
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. This. Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon passage~

The Construction Manager acknowledges that it has
reviewed the foregoing and is familiar with the
additional scope of the project.

2.20.2
During the construction phase and for the period
provided, the Constr~ctionHanager shall, using its best
efforts, provide the following basic services for the
additional work.
Attend the pre-construction meeting with the
construction contractor for the additional
work. Secure the Construction Contractor's
schedule showing: (1) Milestone events
significant to the project; (2) The exact
sequence of operations and item estimates for
the completion of the project; (3) The order,
sequence, and interdependence of the
procurement of materials and construction
events; (4) A schedule of Contractors
submittals.
The Contract Manager will attend meetings (2)
with Home Owner Associations, the Contractor,
and the City to present the construction
schedule to local residents.
The Construction Manager will review the
Contractor Construction schedule for the
additional work prior to its submittal, shall
offer its observations to the Contractor
concerning said schedule, and shall make a
written report to the City of Boynton Beach
containing its observations and
recommendation~ with regard thereto.

representative to review progress and quality
of construction and review the work for
